Everyone's Saying The Same Thing About Aaron Rodgers After Return from Injury

Aaron Rodgers made his highly anticipated return for the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, but the San Francisco 49ers ended the fun with a 32-19 victory. Rodgers is now 0-1 as a Jet, excluding Week 1 of last season, where he suffered a torn Achilles just four plays in.

Rodgers and the Jets did not start off strong in their first two drives, going 3-and-out and fumbling the ball away on the first play of the second drive. But the third possession was everything Jets fans had been waiting for, as Rodgers hit wide receiver Garrett Wilson four times on the way to a touchdown.

But it was downhill from there for Rodgers, as the next few drives ended in punts and an interception, which helped the 49ers jump out to a 26-7 lead.

Rodgers finished the game throwing 13-of-21 for 167 yards, one touchdown and one interception. It's certainly well below the standards of the four-time NFL MVP, but maybe his 40-year-old body is finally catching up with him.

Although it's too soon to know for sure, many NFL fans are still taking to social media to call out Rodgers for being washed.

"Aaron Rodgers is more washed than that basket of laundry you don’t fold and put away so you throw it back in to fill it up," one fan said.

    "Aaron Rodgers = washed king"

"Aaron Rodgers washed af. Man will never beat the Niners again"

"Yup it’s official Aaron Rodgers is washed"

    "Aaron Rodgers is washed."

"It would appear that Aaron Rodgers is indeed washed. It just took a full year to find out."

Rodgers spent 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2005 to 2022 before signing with the Jets last offseason. In his Packers career, Rodgers threw for 59,055 yards and 475 touchdowns and won a Super Bowl.
