Mayor Adams Refuses To Publicly Support Police Commissioner Caban

Amid rumors and reports that Police Commissioner Edward Caban could be on his way out, Mayor Adams is refusing to offer his support.

"I don't think anything in life is guaranteed," Adams said.

Caban has faced growing calls to resign after reports last week that he was among several NYPD officials who had their phones seized as part of a federal investigation. A separate investigation by the feds is also examining the actions of some of the mayor's top aides. He's promised not to be distracted from doing the city's business.

"We have a job to do. And in the name of the game, I say over and over again, stay focused, no distractions and grind," Adams said.
