As per Sneider, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse could be delayed till 2027 since Sony would not prefer to release two different movies featuring the same titular hero in the same calendar year.

He also revealed that Sony has reportedly scrapped most of Spider-Verse 3 due to “creative reasons” (via Dexerto ). If these claims are true, the intricate animation needed to complete the movie could push its release date to 2027.
