    Chiefs Provide 'Hollywood' Injury Update

After an opening night win on Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs are now looking ahead to their Week 2 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. While the team is almost entirely healthy after their Week 1 victory against the Baltimore Ravens, they're still awaiting the return of receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, who suffered a shoulder injury in August.

While addressing media on Monday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid provided an update on Brown's recovery.

"We'll see how 'Hollywood' works out with all of his tests that he's going to have this week, but we'll just see where he's at," said Reid. "I know he's feeling better, we've just got to kind of see where it goes from here. They've been doing these periodic tests on him and making sure that he's headed in the right direction and scans and all that, but it looks like it's heading in the right direction, now we just have to see where it goes from there."

Reid compared Brown's injury to former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill's shoulder injury with the team in 2019. That injury sidelined Hill for four weeks, so if Brown's injury really is similar, it would set him up to be ready to return for Week 2 after suffering the injury in a practice on Aug. 10.

Brown, one of the team's key offseason acquisitions, is expected to be an impactful piece in the Chiefs' offense with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
