CM Punk will face former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood. Their rivalry, which seemed to have concluded after Punk defeated the latter in a Strap Match at WWE Bash in Berlin, is far from over.

CM Punk indicated last week that he was moving on from Drew McIntyre following his win. However, McIntyre, who suffered a significant defeat, made it clear that he wasn’t done. Punk appeared ready to shift focus to the current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, but McIntyre launched a brutal attack, signaling he was far from finished with Punk. The latter even shattered a fan-made bracelet, forcing the broken pieces into his opponent’s mouth.

Punk is absent from the latest edition of RAW in Calgary due to last week’s brutal attack. The show saw Drew McIntyre confront his friend and WWE commentator Wade Barrett. He blamed Barrett for stopping him during the assault on Punk. WWE RAW GM Adam Pearce intervened, preventing McIntyre from attacking Barrett. Following this, Pearce revealed that WWE Bad Blood 2024 will feature a third match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre will settle the score inside Hell in a Cell

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre directed his attention at commentator Wade Barrett. He accused him of having no right to interfere with his actions against CM Punk. The situation quickly became heated between the two in front of the commentary table.

WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce intervened to calm things down between McIntyre and Barrett. Pearce then announced that Drew McIntyre and CM Punk would face off in a third match, this time inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Bad Blood.

McIntyre showed visible concern following the announcement, given his poor history with Hell in a Cell matches. Thus, Punk and McIntyre’s rivalry will now culminate at WWE Bad Blood, which is scheduled for October 5 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
