Man stabbed in stomach on Chelsea street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after a man was stabbed in the stomach on a Chelsea street early Tuesday morning, authorities confirmed.

The stabbing happened just after midnight at West 20th Street and Eighth Avenue, officials said.

According to police, a 50-year-old man walked into NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue stable and alert with stab wounds to his stomach and said a man stabbed him with a knife during a verbal dispute.

The attacker was described as a man in his 40s with dreadlocks and a beard.

An investigation is ongoing.
