    Buffalo Diocese finalizes list of parish closures

    Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The Catholic Diocese of Buffalo announced on Tuesday its final decision on what parishes will close as part of a massive reorganizing process.

    The Diocese, which currently has a total of 196 worship sites that include 160 parishes and 36 secondary worship sites, will see 79 parishes and 39 secondary worship sites remain after the closure process. That is a closure of 78 properties across the Diocese's eight counties.

    The following parishes have been selected by the Diocese to close:

    Buffalo Region:

    - St. Rose of Lima, Buffalo
    - All Saints, Buffalo
    - Holy Spirit, Buffalo
    - Holy Cross, Buffalo
    - St. Michael, Buffalo
    - Coronation of the Bl. Virgin Mary, Buffalo
    - St. John Kanty, Buffalo
    - St. Thomas Aquinas, Buffalo
    - St. Ambrose or St. Martin of Tours, Buffalo
    - St. Bernard, Buffalo

    Northern Erie Region:

    - Good Shepherd, Clarence
    - St. Aloysius Gonzaga, Cheektowaga
    - Infant of Prague, Cheektowaga
    - St. Andrew, Kenmore
    - Blessed Sacrament, Tonawanda
    - St. Francis of Assisi, Tonawanda
    - St. Jude the Apostle, North Tonawanda
    - St. Pius X, Getzville

    Southern Erie Region:

    - St. John Vianney, Orchard Park
    - St. John XXIII, West Seneca
    - St. Josaphat, Cheektowaga

    the elder generation that respected and worshiped the church have passed. today's generation has lost their faith and hope. I think that is why all the churches are closing. and for the pope who I think has gone woke by bending the rules in the Bible should be ashamed of himself.god help us all and pray for peace in America.

    have to pay for the sins of Priests, I'm catholic, go church.when you play with fire you get burned, unfortunately the church goers have to suffer
