‘Now It’s Dead!’ Reporters Crack Up As Fox News Reporter Literally Slays At Briefing

Things took a turn for the murderous when Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich dispatched an intruder during a briefing, drawing laughs with a coldly-delivered post-mortem .

Pests are nothing new at the People’s House — not all of them human — but it is rare for one to meet its maker live on camera.

At Monday’s White House press briefing , Heinrich joined former President Brack Obama in the ranks of White House assassins when she interrupted Biden National Security spokesman Adm. John Kirby to loudly end an intrusion:

Q Okay. Well, let’s talk about Afghanistan, then. Chairman McCaul drew a direct line and countered something you just said, which is he said, “They helped make us a safer nation.” He believes that the withdrawal from Afghanistan —

(A reporter swats an insect in the room.)

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: (Inaudible), Jacqui. (Laughs.)

Q Do you need a minute?

Kirby barely flinched.

Later in the briefing, Jean-Pierre and Heinrich bantered about the entymological execution, to laughter from the room:

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Go ahead, Jacqui.

JACQUI HEINRICH: Thank you, Karine.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Sure.

JACQUI HEINRICH: Thirty-one percent of —

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Good job on —

JACQUI HEINRICH: Thank you.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: (Laughs.)

JACQUI HEINRICH: It had wings, and now it’s dead. (Laughter.)

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: (Inaudible.) (Laughs.)

JACQUI HEINRICH: I killed a bug, and you’re welcome.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: It was very dr- —

JACQUI HEINRICH: Anyway.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: It was very dramatic. (Laughs.)

JACQUI HEINRICH: Someone had to do it.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: I know, and the job was done. The job was indeed done.

JACQUI HEINRICH: Thank you.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: You got the job done, for sure.

JACQUI HEINRICH: Thank you.

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the intruder was a “fucking enormous” insect that looked like a cricket with wings — and who met his maker at the point of a presumably fashionable high-heeled shoe.
