    11-year-old girl who was missing for a week in Detroit has been recovered, police say

    DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department says an 11-year-old girl who was reported missing by her family a week ago is back home safe.

    According to police, Maleanie Joyner left her home on Englewood, near Woodward Ave., on Monday, Sept. 9.

    One week later, on the night of Sept. 16, police sent an update stating that the child has been recovered.

    Police did not say where she was found, or who she was with, and no further information was released.

    unfortunately this is all to common going back decadestoday though with seeming a little more awareness of this coupled with human trafficking patent(s) and or guardians would pay more attention to young kids as in sacrifice your own good time stuff ie partying, smoking bud with friends etc and communicate constructively and objectively with your offspring.police help by crime prevention information awareness and so on..forever vigilant
