U.S. Olympian and track star Noah Lyles , who has had a few competitive run-ins with Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill in recent months, shared his thoughts on the incident that occurred Sunday morning.

Lyles responded to the news of Hill being pulled over and detained by Miami police for speeding outside Hard Rock Stadium before the Dolphins' Week 1 season opener.

On Monday, body cam footage of the incident was released, revealing that Tyreek Hill, who was cited for reckless driving, was handcuffed and forcibly restrained by multiple police officers.

The footage has sparked significant support for Hill, who expressed his concerns after the incident, stating, "If I wasn’t Tyreek Hill, Lord knows, it could have been worst-case scenario."

Noah Lyles quickly defended Hill, aligning himself with Hill's postgame statement and emphasizing his concerns about the treatment Hill received.

"Disgusting Tyreek said something very important In his post game interview. What if it wasn’t him." Lyles said. "This is what they do to us when they feel they might get in trouble. What do you think they do to us when they know they won’t get in trouble."

The incident has garnered substantial media attention, and understandably so. Hill’s teammates rushed to the scene upon realizing that it was their fellow player being detained.

In response to the situation, one officer involved has been placed on administrative leave while a thorough investigation is conducted over the coming days and weeks.
