Former Ohio State star doesn’t hold back his feelings about Michigan even with Jim Harbaugh as his coach

Players who come through Ohio State and end up in the NFL often carry one thing with them; they keep their dislike of Michigan and stay vocal about it.

Former Ohio State star running back J.K. Dobbins is trying to get his NFL career on the right path this season and is looking to leave the injury history in the past.

Dobbins is trying to make that happen with the Los Angeles Chargers, where his head coach just happens to be Jim Harbaugh, the guy he went up against when playing Michigan while with the Buckeyes.

To start the week, Dobbins appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and gave his opinion on the Michigan sign-stealing scandal in a way. Dobbins made it clear he is a fan of his current coach, but you can see that his Ohio State ties mean something to him.

"We're not going to get into that because I love him, that's my coach right now," said Dobbins. "But, as an Ohio State person I don't think those games will count."

Michigan has beaten Ohio State the last three seasons and won it all last year. During that time, the Wolverines were accused of stealing signs and it was said to be led by former graduate assistant Connor Stallions.

Obviously, Harbaugh is no longer at Michigan and is back in the NFL, so he doesn’t have a whole lot to do with what is going on in Ann Arbor. He is surely happy with how his running back started the 2024 season with 135 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

“I love coach, he is a great coach and he is a winner. He had a person on his staff that those games might not…,” Dobbins said before stopping.

Ohio State will look to end their losing streak against Michigan in November and wash away the bad taste of three straight losses to the Wolverines. That one sure could be an interesting week in Los Angeles for Dobbins and Harbaugh.
