Brat Pack Remake In Early Stages With Original Cast

So, it looks like a sequel to the blockbuster hit film St. Elmo's Fire, could be happening! A remake is in the early development stages with original cast members saying they are on board. The new Hulu documentary called ''Brats'' has brought back the hightened popularity of this coming-of-age film. Deadline has revealed that Sony Pictures is exploring the possibility of making a new version of the movie with all the ORIGINAL castmembers reuniting for a sequel.

They were deemed ''The Brat Pack,'' because this talented group of young actors frequently collaborated on teenage angst and young adult films together in the mid 80's. The 1985 cult classic followed a group of young 20 somethings who go through a variety of trials and tribulations while being thrust into young adulthood after they graduate from college. The 5 recent Georgetown University graduates in the group; Alec, Leslie, Kevin, Jules, and Kirby are concerned for their friends and the direction of their lives.

The main cast of St. Elmo's Fire includes the ''brat pack'' stars ''Emilio Estevez as Kirby Keager, a law student and waiter at St. Elmo's Bar, Rob Lowe as William "Billy" Hicks, a saxophonist "frat boy" and reluctant husband and father, Andrew McCarthy as Kevin Dolenz, a writer for The Washington Post with a sullen streak, and Kirby's roommate, Demi Moore as Julianna "Jules" Van Patten, an international banker and the "party girl" of the group, Judd Nelson as Alec Newberry, a romantically unfaithful yuppie pursuing a career in politics and Ally Sheedy as Leslie Hunter, a budding architect who is reluctant to marry Alec,'' as stated on Wikipedia.
