MORGANTOWN W.Va. (WVDN) — WVSL Solutions will participate in 9/11 Day, “a national day of doing good deeds.” WVSL Solutions will host multiple beautification projects benefiting communities in and around Morgantown and Charleston.

Projects include landscaping work for Scott’s Run Settlement House in Monongalia County, a new playground mural and equipment for Mountainview Elementary in Morgantown, and landscaping projects for Bream Shop and Pollen8 Inc. in Charleston.

WVSL Solutions is a nonprofit organization focusing on premier clinical and supportive services to individuals experiencing behavioral health conditions, including substance use disorders (SUD), eating disorders, and other conditions impacting quality of life. Program participants in WVSL Solutions’ sober living facilities, as well as many peer recovery support specialists and other community members, will donate their time and energy to these volunteer projects.

These service projects also mark WVSL Solutions’ 11 th anniversary. More than simply a milestone, WVSL Solutions continues its tradition of giving back with this service to the local community.

“All too often, we see the poor outcomes of substance use disorder; however, there are many West Virginians in our communities who maintain long-term recovery. We show that recovery is possible when we give back to our communities who supported us in our recovery process. Having a beautiful community takes action, and we are proud to be a small part of ensuring these organizations and those they serve have an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and the tools needed to impact the lives of others,” says Jon Dower, WVSL Solutions’ Executive Director.
