NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released photos on Tuesday of a suspect who they say scammed a 75-year-old woman out of $100,000 in Brooklyn.

The incident occurred on July 9 at around 2 p.m. near Pineapple Street and Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights, where the victim received a phone call from an unidentified man instructing her to withdraw approximately $100,000 in cash from the bank to repair her computer.

The victim withdrew the money from the bank and met the suspect outside. After the exchange, she realized her computer hadn’t been fixed and contacted the police.

The suspect is described as a man with a light complexion, last seen wearing a black shirt, brown shorts, and beige sneakers.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
