Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Composer Denies Delay Rumors

Rumors are currently circulating Sony has taken Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse back to the drawing board for creative reasons. According to the film’s composer, however, there’s zero truth to them.

“Don’t really ever want to weigh in on this sort of stuff BUT would you ever believe there could sometimes be stuff on the internet that might not always be particularly accurate? Hmmmm…,” writes Daniel Pemberton, who also scored Ferrari, Amsterdam , and The Bad Guys .

Initially, film blog The InSneider wrote, “Sony may move next Spider-Verse movie to 2027 to make room.” More outlets picked up the story and reported Sony has scrapped most of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse .

According to Pemberton, though, there’s no need to panic. Sony’s third film in the acclaimed animated Spider-Man movies hasn’t been delayed. That said, it still doesn’t have an official release date.

When Sony announced it in 2021, along with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse , Beyond the Spider-Verse was set for a release date of March 29, 2024. As the final film in the trilogy, it has a legacy to live up to, so its creators will want to ensure it hits its mark.
