New angle makes Colts' Anthony Richardson's bomb touchdown even more majestic

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson defied logic with his first touchdown pass of the season in Sunday's opener against the Houston Texans .

After slipping at the top of his drop and immediately getting pressure in his face from both edges, the play appeared doomed from the start.

However, the alien that is Richardson, side-stepped to the left and off his back foot unleashed a throw that hadn't been seen since the Night King took down Viserion in the battle beyond the Wall.

Watching it in real-time and on the ensuing replays helped capture just how impeccable — and improbable — of a throw it was.

65.3 yards in the air for a 60-yard touchdown (yards behind the line of scrimmage are included). It was the third-longest throw in the Next Gen Stats era.

But a new overhead angle of the throw was released, once again proving just how majestic that play was.

Richardson finished the game 9-of-19 passing for 212 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and a 101.2 passer rating.

According to Next Gen Stats , Richardson's 0.13 EPA ( expected points added ) per dropback ranked ninth among quarterbacks in Week 1.

There are some areas Richardson needs to continue improving upon, but it's plays like this that highlight just how unique of a quarterback he truly can be.
