CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WVDN) – The West Virginia Office of Energy (WVOE) announced today it will host a second public input session to solicit community feedback on the state’s Home Energy Rebate Programs on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m.

The Home Energy Rebate Programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Energy under the Inflation Reduction Act and consist of two separate, but complimentary rebate programs: the Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) and the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR). These historic funding streams will bring approximately $88 million to West Virginia residents to install energy-efficient technologies and perform upgrades to existing structures that will help cut down on energy costs.

“Your voice matters in shaping a more energy-efficient future for our state,” said Clayburne Stevens, manager for West Virginia’s Home Energy Rebate Programs. “Together, we can unlock the potential of every home to save energy, reduce costs and create a healthier environment for all. Join us in this crucial conversation and be a part of the change that will power our communities forward.”

The objectives of this meeting are to address questions and concerns, gather feedback to maximize program design and effectiveness, and provide key administrators involved with the programs an opportunity to introduce themselves and their organizations to community members and other stakeholders.

Event: Public input session regarding HER/HEAR programs under the Inflation Reduction Act

    Date: Sept. 25

    Time: 2-3 p.m.
