The Wisconsin Badgers basketball program continues to make headway on the recruiting trail, particularly in the 2026 class, as they’ve identified rising guard DeZhon Hall as a priority target.

Hall, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound talent out of Indiana, will make an unofficial visit to Madison on November 15th and 16th, where he'll be in attendance for Wisconsin's non-conference matchup against the Arizona Wildcats.

Greg Gard and his staff extended an offer to Hall on an unofficial visit last October, making their interest clear.

Hall, who plays for Legacy Early College and gained national attention this summer with Phenom United on the AAU circuit, has seen his recruitment heat up significantly.

Along with Wisconsin, Hall has garnered offers from schools like Illinois and Texas A&M, plus consistent interest from others such as Ohio State, Marquette, Indiana, MSU, Michigan, DePaul and Notre Dame, among others.

“My lead recruiter has been Coach Chambliss from Wisconsin,” Hall told AllBadgers . “Our relationship is good, he checks in with me regularly.”

The Badgers have made it clear they see Hall as a key piece of their future, envisioning him running the show in Coach Gard’s new-look offensive system. “Wisconsin has made me feel like a priority and they see me playing the point guard position,” Hall shared.

On film, Hall is a crafty, downhill playmaker when he has the ball in his hands and the ability to slash to the basket and finish off-balance. His length, bursts of explosiveness, and being a viable threat to step out and knock down threes allow him to play effectively both on and off the ball.

Hall thrives at creating opportunities for himself and his teammates while regularly getting to the free-throw line. His upside is hard to ignore.

What’s caught Hall’s attention about the Badgers is the unique stability found within the program and the emphasis on academics.

“Coach Gard is going into his 10th season, and the academics and support for athletes,” Hall noted, are big factors in Wisconsin’s favor.

With other schools like Ohio State, Marquette, Michigan, and Indiana still in the mix, Hall's recruitment is far from over. Still, it’s clear the Wisconsin men's basketball team is firmly in the mix for the talented junior.

As it stands, the Badgers have one commit in the 2026 recruiting class from in-state forward LaTrevion Fenderson .
