Netflix has just announced that Emmy winner Jon Bernthal and Pablo Schreiber have joined the cast of the upcoming limited series “His & Hers,” a seductive and twisty psychological thriller starring and executive produced by Tessa Thompson. Readmore details about the announcement inside.

The six episode limited series, adapted from Alice Feeney’s novel, is set to begin production this fall under the direction of visionary filmmaker William Oldroyd.

Emmy award-winning actor Jon Bernthal, known for his gripping roles in “The Bear “and “The Punisher,’ will portray Jack, a troubled Sheriff’s Office detective in Dahlonega, Georgia. Jack, who is married to newscaster Anna (Tessa Thompson), finds his life further complicated by a murder case he’s just picked up, all while dealing with the fallout of a strained marriage due to loss and betrayal. Bernthal’s portrayal of Jack promises to add depth and intensity to this already complex character, who is described as a good man who doesn’t always make the best decisions.

Pablo Schreiber, best known for his roles in “HALO” and “Orange is the New Black,” will take on the role of Richard, one of the best cameramen at WSK TV News. Richard is married to the station’s hot new anchor, Lexy Jones, who temporarily replaced Anna during her absence. Richard’s connection to Anna intensifies when she returns to the station and selects him as her cameraman for the murder case in Dahlonega. Schreiber’s portrayal of Richard will add another layer of tension and intrigue as the plot unfolds.

Set against the backdrop of a sweltering Atlanta summer, “His & Hers” delves into the lives of Anna and Jack, whose entangled paths lead them into a web of lies and suspicion. With Tessa at the helm as both star and executive producer, and a stellar supporting cast, this series is poised to be a must-watch thriller.
