USC football has secured a commitment from Viliami Moala, a promising 4-star defensive tackle from Salt Lake City, Utah, for their 2026 recruiting class. Moala, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 305 pounds, announced his decision on social media, expressing gratitude to the coaches who have supported him throughout his recruitment.

Ranked as the 37th defensive lineman in his class by 247Sports, Moala is also the sixth-best player in Utah and sits at 349th overall in the nation. His impressive list of offers includes schools like Arizona, Iowa State, Miami, Tennessee, and UCLA, highlighting his potential as a top prospect.

Scouting reports describe Moala as a versatile player capable of excelling on both sides of the line. He is noted for his physicality as a run blocker and his ability to handle double teams as a nose guard. His quick first step and strong hands make him a formidable presence on the field.

With this commitment, USC is building a solid recruiting class, currently ranked fourth nationally with six commitments. Moala is the first defensive lineman to join the class, but he is expected to be part of a larger effort to strengthen the Trojans' defensive lineup, especially with several upperclassmen in the current rotation.

Although Moala won’t arrive on campus for another two years, his commitment is a positive sign for USC as they work to enhance their defensive reputation alongside their well-known offensive prowess.
