Cooler Weather and Rain Expected Across Inland Northwest Washington

A low-pressure system moving inland will bring a significant change in weather to the Inland Northwest, with cooler temperatures and rain showers expected Wednesday and Thursday. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will drop into the 60s and 70s, a noticeable shift from recent conditions.

Showers are expected to begin across the Cascades and southeastern Washington tonight, spreading through the region on Wednesday. By Thursday, rain will primarily impact the Idaho Panhandle and far eastern Washington. Although rainfall amounts will be moderate, areas in northern Idaho could see over half an inch. The weekend is expected to be drier with seasonal temperatures.
