I drove the new pink Fiat 500e – it looks like an angry Pokémon & an Easter egg warning sound transports you to Italy

A POCKET-sized EV packed a big punch with its features and surprising cargo space – a unique Easter made me fall in love with it.

The Fiat 500e, one of the smaller EVs offered in the States, has a personality the size of the Hummer EV .

When I first read that I’d be test-driving the 2024 Fiat 500e “Inspired by Beauty” EVs, I thought I knew exactly what to expect.

I expected to be cramped, unable to see out if, and I would be generally unimpressed with it.

Especially since the range , even at full charge and in “Sherpa” mode (which cuts out almost all features , like the A/C that drains the battery), is just under 200 miles.

I’m here to admit I was wrong.

I was immediately drawn by the expressive front end of the car, which reminded me of an angry Pokémon.

Sitting behind the wheel of the rose gold European EV, I was comfortable.

I could see all corners, the driver and passenger windows had plenty of outward visibility to let in lots of natural light, the amount of foot space made my jaw drop, and the seating position was comfortable.

This car and its limited range would be perfect in bustling cities like Seattle, New York, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.

Living in Bend, Oregon where the highest speed limit is about 45 mph, this would be perfect for my husband to commute to work in.

For an EV with a starting price of $34,095 and a max price of $37,595, it’s a commuter worth looking into for those without children in large cities.

Especially with its Level 3 charging capabilities making it ready to go for the next trip to work.

Looking at the back from the outside, I thought to myself, “I can see the headrests of the back seats centimeters away from the rear window, is there an actual trunk?”

I lifted the back and was stunned by the amount of cargo space.

It increases substantially when the seats are folded down – which is accomplished by pressing a button on the rear seats.

Driving it feels natural – any person, even a six-foot tall man, could comfortably drive that car.

However, my favorite feature occurred when the pocket rocket hit 20 mph.

The specifications for the 2024 Fiat 500e Inspired by Beauty are as such:

    • MSRP as Tested : $37,595
    • City MPG : 121 MPG
    • Highway MPG : 100 mpg
    • Combined MPG : 110 mpg
    • Electric Range : 149 mpg
    • Horsepower : 117 hp
    • Torque : 162 lf-ft

I heard what sounded like music, which wasn’t coming from the stereo.

As it turns out, the Fiat 500e comes with a musical feature that kicks on when the car is in motion, and it plays traditional Italian classical music .

I clipped a small microphone under the hood and captured the clip of music playing while the car was at speed.

I’ve driven some incredible EVs, even a Rolls Royce Spectre for the 2024 Drive Revolution, and this was the only feature that made me squeal with joy.

Aside from the beautiful rose gold paint job that glimmered in the Pacific Northwest sun.
