Somerset, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 78-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Somerset on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Louis Greenwald of Lake Wales, Fla. was traveling North on Carmen Road at around 2:30 p.m. ET in a 2024 Nissan when he ignored the right of way for Earl Foster of Wilson, who was in a 2019 GMC heading East on Lake Road. Greenwald's vehicle traveled into a cornfield after being struck by the GMC.

Foster, 77, was taken to Lockport Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Greenwald was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
