A Florida judge has declared Jonas and Turner divorced and single, signing off on a confidential agreement between the two after months of public drama.
The Miami-Dade County judge approved the agreement on Friday, one year after the 35-year-old Jonas Brothers singer filed to divorce the 28-year-old Game Of Thrones and X-Men actress and five years after the two were married.
The pair had previously been embroiled in a bitter public row over where their two children would live but they have now agreed to share custody after resolving their legal dispute.
They announced their “amicable” divorce in the summer of 2023, but then Turner sued Jonas, claiming he hadn’t let the girls return to the UK from the US while staying with him.
Turner and Jonas have since agreed on a co-parenting strategy, and court documents said that moderated negotiations led to an agreement on splitting assets, spousal support and custody of their two daughters, four-year-old Willa and two-year-old Delphine.
Judge Gina Beovides declared the marriage was "irretrievably broken", and that the couple's agreement, especially their parenting plan, was in the best interest of the family.

The couple then issue a joint statement confirming their split on their respective Instagram accounts. It read: “After four years of wonderful marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.”
It was in contrast to claims they were leading “separate lives” for several months before the American singer filed for divorce.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” said the announcement.

Things appear less amicable as news emerges that Sophie is reportedly suing for the return of her children to England.
US broadcaster NBC said legal documents filed on behalf of Sophie accuse Joe of refusing to hand over the children’s passports.
The documents said both children have been kept in the city with their father since September 20, away from “their habitual residence” in England, where Joe is said to have agreed to move permanently in April.
The singer then issued a statement rejecting any suggestion that he has “abducted” their two daughters.
A statement issued by his representative said: “This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending. When language like ‘abduction’ is used, it is misleading at best, and a serious abuse of the legal system at worst. The children were not abducted.
“After being in Joe’s care for the past three months at the agreement of both parties, the children are currently with their mother. Sophie is making this claim only to move the divorce proceedings to the UK and to remove the children from the US permanently,” it continued.

The pair announce in a joint statement that they have resolved their legal differences and agreed to make things work for their children by co-parenting.
They said: “After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the US and the UK.
“We look forward to being great co-parents.”
Their statement followed a new legal filing setting out a temporary joint custody arrangement for their daughters, aged three and one, for the coming months.
