The Memphis Grizzlies have an exciting future ahead of them.

Since commencing a full-scale rebuild in 2018-19, the Grizzlies have perfectly remodeled themselves for a new look following the end of their Grit-’n’-Grind era. Under the lead of top executive Zach Kleiman, Memphis identified a plethora of promising talents in the last couple of years that perfectly made the team an eventual contender and one of the most talented in the NBA in just a short transition.

Ja projected to be Memphis' best in the next three years

For being one of the initial core pieces of the Grizzlies' rebuild, Ja Morant instantly became the squad's best player. And by envisioning what lies ahead, the superstar guard is poised to remain at the forefront of Memphis basketball.

In his latest piece for Bleacher Report that predicts every NBA team's top player in the next three years, Andy Bailey views Morant as the head of the snake for the Grizzlies in 2027.

"Ja Morant fell off the radar this past season, thanks to a 25-game suspension and season-ending shoulder surgery, but he was one of the league's most exciting and explosive scorers in 2022-23. That season, he led the Memphis Grizzlies to the West's No. 2 seed, averaging 26.2 points and 8.1 assists. And he seemed good for at least one jaw-dropping highlight per game. Assuming his slight frame and acrobatic game don't lead to too many injuries, Morant (who'll be 28) could be in MVP discussions three years from now ," he wrote .

As it is, Morant saw his most brutal individual outing last year, in which he only played nine games out of league suspension and season-ending surgery. Nevertheless, this won't hinder the fact that he'll remain in charge of leading the Grizzlies with his high-caliber scoring and immense athleticism. This tough setback will only motivate him not only for the upcoming season but also for the years that come.

Approaching the prime stage of his career, Ja will remain under max contract with the Grizzlies until 2027-28, which makes him stapled with the team as its undisputed No. 1. Besides going away from any possible off-court controversies again, we can only hope that Morant will remain injury-free and committed to the organization on this given stretch so that he can fully seize his limitless potential.
