ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. — Over the weekend, the roar of hundreds of motorcycles filled the air in Elkhart County as riders gathered for a cause close to the community’s heart—the 26th annual "Riding to Remember" charity ride.

This longstanding event, the largest and longest-running motorcycle ride in the county, serves as a tribute to the fallen police officers, firefighters, and veterans who dedicated their lives to serving the area. The ride drew a vast crowd of participants, all united in honoring these local heroes and keeping their memories alive.

The 72-mile journey began at the Hoosier Harley Davidson in Elkhart, then wound its way through the scenic routes of Wakarusa and Nappanee, showcasing a powerful display of solidarity and remembrance. A poignant highlight of the ride was the stop at the Goshen Police Department, where a memorial service was held to reflect on the sacrifices made by these brave individuals.

For 26 years, "Riding to Remember" has not only been a testament to the strength and unity of the Elkhart County community but also a reminder of the importance of honoring those who serve and protect.
