Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to embark on another tour this year, according to reports.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already been on two work trips this year, visiting both Colombia and Nigeria. Harry and Meghan traveled to Nigeria in May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games .

More recently, the pair went on a four-day tour of Colombia as they met with locals and officials. The trip caused controversy, with figures revealing it cost the poverty-stricken country $59,000. Despite receiving some criticism, a source has said Harry and Meghan are pushing ahead with planning another tour this year.

They're believed to be looking at Lesotho or Botswana as possible destinations. These two places mean a lot to Harry as it's where his charity Sentebale operates.

"That's his world, that’s what he's used to and that's what he knows. He can still add value," the source told Hello! Magazine. The claims come after Harry and Meghan's Colombia trip was slammed for how much it cost.

The trip cost $59,000, including security and transport costs. The figure was released by Colombia's vice-president Francia Marquez, who organized the trip, following a request by Senator Maria Fernanda Cabal.

Cabal slammed the visit as "wasteful spending". While the country paid for security and transport, it was revealed that Harry and Meghan paid for their own flights and accommodation in Bogota as well as general expenses.

Colombia has struggled with poverty for years and has been found to be one of the most unequal countries in Latin America. The country has been affected by the conflict between the guerilla groups, paramilitary groups and the Colombian government.

More than 36% of the population live in poverty in Colombia. In rural areas of the country, that figure increases to 45%. Despite the controversy, Colombian vice-president Francia Marquez said Harry and Meghan's trip was a chance to "illuminate" the country and show Colombia as a "beacon of culture and innovation".
