    NEW JERSEY/ NEW YORK/ PA (Haunt Hunters App) - The official start date to the Fall is Sunday, September 22, 2024, but with the infamous date of Friday the 13th coming the second weekend in September, many places are using this as the un-official start to spooky season. With that, there are many places in the tri-state area that will be open to provide you with some pre-halloween tricks and treats.     Brighton Asylum, Passaic, New Jersey - Located on the border of Passaic and Clifton, this well known haunted attraction never disappoints.     Friday the 13th Filming Locations - Take in all of the original filming locations from the horror classic Friday the 13th that was filmed in downtown Blairstown, New Jersey. The main street businesses embrase the date, and welcome visitors to enjoy and partake in all of the activities. One of the hot-spots will be the Blairstown Diner that was featured in the original movie. Many different cast members from the movie will be on hand throughout the day.

    If we are talking about the old 1980s slasher flicks? I love those old films. Friday the 13th part 3 in 3D where Jason adopts his trademark hockey mask is the best. But a personal favorite is part 7 the new blood with Lar Park Lincoln the telekinetic girl who gave Jason a run for his money.
