NEW JERSEY/ NEW YORK/ PA (Haunt Hunters App) - The official start date to the Fall is Sunday, September 22, 2024, but with the infamous date of Friday the 13th coming the second weekend in September, many places are using this as the un-official start to spooky season. With that, there are many places in the tri-state area that will be open to provide you with some pre-halloween tricks and treats. Here are a few suggestions of some destinations that will be offering up some scary fun on Friday, September 13, 2024.
Brighton Asylum, Passaic, New Jersey - Located on the border of Passaic and Clifton, this well known haunted attraction never disappoints. Always open for special events throughout the calendar year to provide your with some screams and scares. One of the highlights of your visit is always the entertainment outside of the Asylum. Frankie is their most popular inmate, who will make you take your guard down and make you smile upon your arrival, just to have you scared and screaming before going into the attraction.
Friday the 13th Filming Locations - Take in all of the original filming locations from the horror classic Friday the 13th that was filmed in downtown Blairstown, New Jersey. The main street businesses embrase the date, and welcome visitors to enjoy and partake in all of the activities. One of the hot-spots will be the Blairstown Diner that was featured in the original movie. Many different cast members from the movie will be on hand throughout the day.

This event combines horror and paranormal investigation at the Waldorf Estate of Fear. Horror movie fans will instantly recognize the Waldorf as the filming location for Hell House.
Fronzetta Costumes, East Strousburg, PA - Not too early to go check out costumes at the famous Fronzetta costumes. This is one of the best costume shops in the country that has been in business since 1981. Once you walk through the door you will be transported to a whole new world. This is a must stop for any Halloween enthusiast.
If we are talking about the old 1980s slasher flicks? I love those old films. Friday the 13th part 3 in 3D where Jason adopts his trademark hockey mask is the best. But a personal favorite is part 7 the new blood with Lar Park Lincoln the telekinetic girl who gave Jason a run for his money.
