$500,000 Lottery Ticket Winner Sold in Ohio

CLEVELAND, OH - In a stroke of luck, Hany Jaffal has struck it big with a $500,000 win on the Ohio Lottery’s Psychedelic Payout scratch-off game.

According to a press release issued by the Ohio Lottery on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, Jaffal's substantial prize was purchased at Shop Express, located at 3965 Warrensville Center Road in Warrensville Heights.

According to the press release, following the standard deduction for state and federal taxes, which totals 28 percent, Jaffal is set to receive approximately $360,000.

The Psychedelic Payout scratch-off, priced at $10 per ticket, features a top prize of $500,000. As of September 9, 2024, there are still three top prizes available in this game, offering more opportunities for players.

The Ohio Lottery has a long history of contributing to the state’s education system, having donated more than $32 billion to educational initiatives since its inception in 1974, according to the press release.
