(CHICAGO) It may only be September, but to beat the rush, it's time to start making those holiday plans. Macy's iconic Walnut Room on State Street in Chicago is celebrating its 117-year anniversary with an opportunity to book early reservations for this holiday season.

When Can I Make Holiday Reservations for Dining at the Walnut Room?

The general public can start making reservations as soon as September 27th by going to the website.

How Can I Make Early Reservations?

Dine at the Walnut Room between September 7th and September 30th and you can have the chance to book your reservations before they are offered to the general public on September 27th.

What Will Be on the Menu This Year?

The Walnut Room hasn't announced its 2024 menu yet this year, but you can expect to find traditional favorites such as Mrs. Hering’s chicken pot pie. Check the website on September 27th for all the details.

About the Walnut Room

The Walnut Room first opened in 1907 as the South Tea Room inside the former department store, Marshall Fields. Known as the Walnut Room since 1937, the 17,000-square-foot traditional restaurant hosts a 45-foot Christmas tree every holiday season. In the early years, the tree was real, but today an artificial tree is used.
