We do have pastures for them to graze, but we had army worms and what was left of the alfalfa and orchard grass is now turning to dust. So I am extremely worried because others areas who have drought will come in and offer sometimes 3 times what the person who has the hay and greed comes in...extremely frustrating, especially for those like me who aren't able to get help...

we have 6 older rescue horses, and we aren't a 501c3, so we are screwed for hay this year. Got screwed over for my usual hay 30 rounds to get the horse taken care of til next cutting 2025. Greed played a huge part and bragged they got 3x what I paid them. but this is something I kept asking if they still had my 30-round bales. was assured, yes I have them... just to be told when I called last week I was going to pay for all of them and have someone haul them to our place. We flood terribly in the winter, but I was going to figure out a way to keep all of them dry and clean. Now I am scrambling to buy hay and found 2 that are 750-800lbs and are $75 a piece. it sucks because we don't ask for or get donations, so we are worried.
