Butter Swim Biscuits With 7Up And Sour Cream: You Are In For A Golden Fluffy And Delicious Treat

    2024-09-12

This time last year I shared my Grandma's Swim Biscuit recipe, and you all loved it! However, a lot of you guys didn't want or didn't have the time to make them from scratch, and I get it. So I got to work on a new recipe, taking Grandma's Butter Swim biscuits and bringing them into the convenience food arena. You're going to adore these biscuits because they only require a few fun ingredients, and they are SO soft and fluffy delicous!

    Pro Tips:

    • Try not to overwork the batter, as this will leave you with a very dense biscuit. When we go to stir everything together, you want it JUST mixed together.
    • The dough will be sticky, so don't be alarmed.
    • Use real butter and full-fat sour cream for the best results

    Butter Swim 7Up Biscuits

    Directions

    • Preheat the oven to 425°F.
    • Put your butter in a 9x9 baking dish to melt while the oven preheats. Be careful not to burn the butter.
    • Combine the Bisquick, sour cream, and 7up in a bowl, taking care not to overmix the dough. It will be a sticky dough.
    • Spoon the dough into the melted butter pan. You'll need to spread it evenly, and the easiest way is with your hands or a greased spatula.
    • Cut into nine pieces as best you can; the cuts will help get the biscuits out and let the butter in after cooking.

    • Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, or until a beautiful golden brown color. Although oven temperatures vary, biscuits should be springy to the touch. Use a toothpick in the middle to see if they're done, and they are if it comes out clean.
    • Let them marinate in the pan after coming out of the oven to soak up any extra butter.
    • Serve hot, and enjoy!

You can get fancy any way you'd like. It can be topped with cheese, bacon, jalapeños, or green onions, ect.

Store leftovers for up to three days at room temperature, or freeze them.
