Justin Timberlake has reportedly agreed to a plea deal in his DWI case .

According to a Wednesday (September 11) report from TMZ , a judge has agreed to a plea deal that the "Selfish" singer signed off on that would drop his Driving While Intoxicated charge to Driving While Ability Impaired, which is now a traffic violation compared to a criminal offense. He previously pleaded not guilty to original DWI charge.

While the term "impaired" is used in the traffic violation, it does not equate to a drunk driving offense, per Page Six . The new plea also comes with a fine of somewhere between $300 and $500 that Timberlake will have to pay, which will be decided during a Friday (September 13) hearing before a judge. Additionally, his driver's license will be suspended in New York after he refused a breathalyzer test during his initial traffic stop, which automatically leads to a one-year suspension of one's license.

In June, Timberlake was arrested in Sag Habor, New York, and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after he reportedly ran a stop sign and failed to in his lane. An officer with the Sag Harbor Police Department alleged the singer smelled of alcohol , had bloodshot eyes and "slurred speech" and that he "performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests." He reportedly told officers that he had one martini before following some friends home.
