Week 3 of college football is nearly here and the Alabama Crimson Tide are about to face their first true test .

Traveling north to take on Wisconsin, the game is going to have to be won in the trenches.

Luckily for Alabama, they seem to be progressing in terms of their health on that front, but will likely be without a contributor on the perimeter come Saturday:

Cole Adams Doubtful, Kaydn Proctor Practices, Elijiah Pritchett looking good

    WR Cole Adams

"Yeah, he will be doubtful for this game, DeBoer said of WR Cole Adams. Just go through the week and the reps that guys are taken. So, you know, more than likely be doubtful there. But it's not an injury to where, you know, I think he dodged a lot of bullets with just how quickly he's, going to be coming back. So that's good for our program. You know, the last couple days, just with further assessments and the process he's going through to get back on the football field.

Adams left the USF game on Saturday in the fourth quarter after suffering an arm injury, but it doesn't seem to be anything of significant concern when listening and reading DeBoer's words.

    LT Kadyn Proctor

"Yeah, he's been practicing, and he's doing well and doing a good job, DeBoer said when asked of Proctor's progression from injury. "And really, you know, was headed in a really good direction right at the very end of last week, and, you know, turn the corner, I think there, and is in a good spot here, done a nice job here in the first two days of practice.

The star offensive lineman has yet to make his debut following an unexpected pregame injury in Week 1, but DeBoer was bullish about his return on Monday and it seems that his time is nearing ahead of the Tide's biggest game yet.

    OT Elijah Pritchett

"Yeah, we're still working through the plan, but he [Pritchett] finished the game out on Saturday and really had no more setbacks, which was great," said DeBoer of how Pritchett is coming along. "Something that we were just concerned about, and didn't want that to hold him back. He had worked very hard from the week before an injury, and I know that people weren't aware of it just because of the score. So he's in a good spot right now as well. So we're working through that plan and just the rotation with the offensive line.

A healthy line is a recipe for a win on Saturday, and right now it looks like the Tide may finally have the version of the unit they envisioned heading into the season.
