    $$$$Perfect For:Wasting Your Time & Money

Miceli's is the oldest surviving Italian restaurant in Hollywood, emphasis on surviving. With chianti bottles strung from the ceiling, ornate stained glass windows, and more wrought iron and dark wood than the Haunted Mansion, Miceli's looks like a living museum. There's even a piano player most nights. But the food is truly abysmal, even by retro-kitsch standards (though maybe it's our fault for ordering the inedible, freezer-burnt $30 veal scallopini). If you're coming to admire LA history, stick to the garlic cheese bread. And pity the poor tourist who wanders in off Hollywood Boulevard for seafood linguine.

    Dan Tana’s

Dan Tana’s is an LA classic and the kind of place where every night feels like a celebration.

    Musso & Frank Grill

Musso & Frank is an unexpected piece of actual culture along Hollywood Blvd: a class restaurant where it’s impossible to have a bad time.
