2 killed, 1 in critical condition after multi-car crash on US-12 near Willow Run Airport

(WWJ) — Two people have died and three others are hospitalized following a crash in Washtenaw County on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. on Sept. 11 along the Ecorse Road Bypass on US-12 near Wiard Road, just west of Willow Run Airport.

The crash involved two cars, including one that caught on fire. Police officials told WWJ Wednesday night one person in each car was killed.

The two fatal victims were pronounced dead at the scene and three others were taken to the hospital in critical condition, but authorities have not released any information about any of the victims.

Police officials told WWJ Wednesday night a cause of the crash remains under investigation.
