The Dallas Cowboys' 33-17 Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns saw many shining performances, but possibly the most promising one came from second-year linebacker DeMarvion Overshown .

Overshown's big moment in the win was when he chased down Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson for a sack, covering 14 yards in 2.8 seconds.

His elite speed shocked many, including fellow linebacker Micah Parsons who now projects an All-Pro year out from the former 2023 third-round pick.

“I don’t even know what happened," Parsons told reporters, via The Athletic's Jon Machota … "I don’t think people realize how explosive he is. He’s coming downhill with intent. He’s one of the most exciting players I’ve seen. I think he’s gonna be an All-Pro player.”

Overshown was credited with 11 tackles, six stops, one sack, and two quarterback pressures in the victory.

This is a massive step for Overshown, whose rookie season was over before it started after he tore his ACL in the preseason last year .

He entered the offseason looking to prove himself as a starter, which clearly didn't take long.

Parsons isn't alone in thinking Overshown is on tap for a breakout year in 2024.

Our own Cowboys analyst at A to Z Sports , Mauricio Rodriguez , thinks so too.

"Overshown is going to have a huge season for Dallas," Rodriguez said in his Cowboys' breakdown of Week 1's win . "Starting by the mere fact that he's going to be starting. This is not Damone Clark's job anymore. ...Overshown just completely wiped out any possibility of a linebacker battle.

"I thought many of us thought Overshown might be the backup to Kendricks and Clarks but after Week 1, Overshown is the guy. I thought he was going to end up being the guy but the Cowboys clearly think he's ready and he proved that with a monster game in Week 1."
