The Chicago Bears' trade with the Carolina Panthers continues to be a significant turning point for the Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus era. Not only did it net the team a star receiver in DJ Moore, a potential franchise quarterback in Caleb Williams, and a starting right tackle in Darnell Wright, but the Bears' second-round pick last year was used to draft cornerback Tyrique Stevenson.

Stevenson, whose pick-six in Sunday's match against the Titans, completed the comeback for the Bears en route to a stunning 24-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans. On Wednesday, Stevenson's late-game heroics were awarded as he was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Per Pro Football Focus, against the Titans, Stevenson allowed only three receptions on nine targets for 42 yards. He had one interception , one pass breakup, and the game-changing touchdown for the Bears. Will Levis had a QB rating of 46.8 when targeting Stevenson.

After a rocky start to his rookie season, Stevenson has blossomed into a legitimate starting cornerback opposite All-Pro Jaylon Johnson. The duo is arguably the most potent in the NFL, and they're young. Stevenson is 24, and Jaylon Johnson is 25, so this should be a lockdown duo for the next half-century.

Stevenson and Johnson continue their efforts this Sunday night against another formidable receiving corps as they travel to Houston to take on C.J. Stroud and the Texans.
