Alisson's international duty with Brazil turned sour - as the team suffered a rare loss to Paraguay .

Diego Gomez's lone strike put a blemish on Brazil's record in the World Cup qualifiers, drawing the team closer in the table standings. This marked the first defeat for Brazil under coach Dorival Junior, leaving the five-time world champions currently placed fifth in its qualifying group, trailing leaders Argentina by eight points.

Despite this being Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson's eighth cap for the Selecao this year, questions linger over the team's form. Speaking about the setback, Real Madrid's Vini Junior shared his concerns: "We want to take Brazil out of this situation.

"We need to go home and reflect on how to improve, what we need to do to play well and win more easily. We can't lose a game playing the way that we did. It's a difficult moment but we have to assimilate all the criticism and put Brazil at the top."

Against this backdrop, assessments have been drawn up regarding Alisson's performance by the Brazilian media. In its assessment, Globo Esporte commented: "He was practically a spectator during the game. Paraguay had two finishes on goal, one was a convincing save and the other, which led to a goal, he was not at fault following a beautiful trivela by Diego Gomez." They gave him a score of 5.5 out of 10.

Also providing ratings, Zero Hora offered insights into the match, writing: "Alisson was not at fault for the goal. He had little participation during the game." Zero Hora's rating for Alisson was a 5 out of 10.

Meanwhile, No Ataque commented in its player ratings: "He was almost not bothered by Paraguay. The goal, which went in his direction was indefensible." Like Zero Hora, No Ataque gave Liverpool's first-choice goalkeeper a 5 out of 10.
