The Detroit Tigers extended their winning streak to four games with a 7-4 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night, bringing their record to 75-71 and setting them up for a potential series sweep. The Tigers came out swinging in the first inning, scoring six runs. Riley Greene led off with his 21st home run of the season, followed by Kerry Carpenter's triple and Spencer Torkelson’s RBI single. Rookie Trey Sweeney capped the inning with a towering three-run homer, his fourth of the season and third in the last week.

Detroit added to their lead in the fourth inning when Greene's sacrifice fly allowed Jake Rogers to score, bringing the Tigers' lead to 7-1. Carpenter had a standout game, going 4-for-4 and falling just one home run short of hitting for the cycle.

Casey Mize started on the mound, striking out seven over 4⅔ innings but allowing four runs late in his outing. Despite giving up a solo home run and a two-run double in the fifth inning, Mize's early dominance set the tone for the game.

The Tigers' bullpen took over from there, with Tyler Holton, Will Vest, and Jason Foley shutting down the Rockies' lineup. Vest was especially effective in the eighth inning, maintaining his 2.86 ERA on the season. The Tigers will look to complete the series sweep with ace Tarik Skubal set to take the mound in the next game. Fans are eager to see how far the team can push their momentum as they continue their push for the final Wild Card playoff spot.
