The Pittsburgh Steelers had plenty of players step up in their Week 1 win against the Atlanta Falcons, but the performance that stood out, especially on the scoreboard, was from kicker Chris Boswell. Boswell finished the game six-for-six on field goal attempts, scoring all of the Steelers' 18 points.

Boswell was rightfully awarded for his performance, being named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 1.

Boswell's performance was not only impressive because of the amount of kicks that he made, but also for the distances. Boswell made three kicks from over 50 yards, hitting kicks from 57, 56 and 51 yards throughout the afternoon.

Not only did Boswell nail kicks, but he also took over for punting duties late in the game, as starting punter left the game in the fourth quarter with a knee injury. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin commended Boswell for his performance following the win.

"Can't say enough about [Boswell] not only in terms of him kicking the ball, but that punt was timely," said Tomlin. "We all know what he's capable of. I don't think anybody in that locker room is surprised by what he was able to do... I look forward to sending him out there because I know he relishes it. And so, we're thankful for that."

This is the third time in Boswell's career that he has won AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, as he previously earned the honor in the 2015 and 2017 seasons, respectively.
