Kendrick Lamar brushes of Drake reconciliation in new untitled diss track ahead of 2025 Super Bowl

Kendrick Lamar still has more smoke for his nemesis Drake as their feud appears to rage on.

The Compton-bred rapper dropped an untitled diss track on Instagram on Wednesday that was seemingly aimed at the Canadian hip-hop star. Accompanying his song on the social media platform was a snap of a black Nike Air Force Ones, which is often emblematic of aggressive and confrontational energy. During the song Kendrick showed his pride for the West Coast, giving a shoutout to fellow Californian Terrace Martin and NBA trainer Jay Estrada.

Kendrick didn’t hesitate to use a couple of bars in the rap record to make it clear that the beef wasn’t over between him and Drake.

The Swimming Pools rapper shot down any possibility that he and the self-nicknamed Champagne Papi would reconcile as he acknowledged how vicious their feud got after Kendrick dropped Meet The Grahams. He brushed off the idea of anything changing between him and Drake anytime soon because of their warring through music.

Kendrick’s new song comes in the wake of it being announced that he would be the halftime performer at the Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The music sensation already was a guest performer during the Super Bowl LVI halftime show in February 2022 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

He was a part of Dr. Dre’s set since that year the hip-hop legend was called to be the half-time performer. Dr. Dre inhibited Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent in addition to Kendrick to perform with him during the memorable show.

Now that Kendrick will be headlining next year, many are anxious to see how he’ll take on the show. Some speculate whether or not he’ll perform his chart-topping Drake diss that became the song of the summer, Not Like Us.

Drake and Kendrick’s years-long feud was reignited after Drake released a collaborative track with J. Cole called First Person Shooter.

One of the lyrics from J. Cole implied that they were at the top of the rap game, but they nodded toward Kendrick as completing their little trinity as "the big three." He said: "Love when they argue the hardest MC / Is it K. Dot [Kendrick]? Is it Aubrey [Drake]? Or me? / We the big three, like we started a league.”

After that, Kendrick appeared on Metro Boomin' and Future's album, Like That. He seemed to acknowledge Drake and J. Cole's lyrics with his own. It appeared that Kendrick didn't think he was on the same level as the two, but instead above them, saying "Big three - it's just big me." Kendrick and Drake have been dissing each other since Like That dropped in March.
