The chicest filming locations from Emily in Paris — and how to visit them

Très cliché? Oui. But you can’t deny that Emily in Paris is a deliciously watchable show. With every character dripping in designer couture and each scene taking place in increasingly exclusive locations, it’s no wonder it has become one of the most-watched (and most talked about) shows on Netflix .

Yes, it’s absurd and frivolous. But that’s the charm: escapism fantasy at its finest. And one of the most charming aspects of the show (apart from the impossibly handsome love interests who somehow seem to keep appearing out of nowhere) are the locations. Director Andrew Fleming has scouted some of the most breathtaking and iconic venues for Season 4 , both in Paris and out of it. He told Netflix : “This season just goes way above and beyond.” And he’s right.

In this latest season, we’ve seen Emily and her cohort head to the French Open at Roland-Garros,host an event at the stunning Galeries Lafayette department store, and do some soul-searching at Monet’s stunning House and Garden in Giverny.

In the upcoming episodes, released today, Emily and co head out of Paris to ski the French Alps and sojourn in Rome. But if it’s Paris that has your heart, these are the hottest locations featured in the show, and how to experience them for yourself. Magnifique .

Roland-Garros

Stade Roland Garros, or Roland Garros Stadium to us Brits, is the historic tennis stadium which plays host to the prestigious French Open each summer. The iconic deep-red clay court has seen the likes of Björn Borg, Roger Federer , Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic play on its surface — and was the site of an intense kiss between Emily and Alfie in Episode 1 of the fourth season. To give you a refresher: Emily pitched a “kiss cam” idea to a client which culminated in a dramatic reunion between her and Alfie in the Roland Garros stands. The next French Open is due to take place from 19 May - 8 June 2025, but you can visit off-season with a guided tour if you can’t wait that long.

Monet's House and Garden at Giverny

Just an hour outside Paris, you can step inside a stunning impressionist painting at Monet’s House and Garden in Giverny. Stare longingly into the magnificent lily pond which inspired so many of Monet’s paintings, take in the gloriously colourful gardens, then enjoy a tour of the beautifully restored house. It’s here where Camille tries to escape her heartbreak in the second episode of Season 4, before Emily manages to track her down — and a dramatic fall follows.

How to get there: 84 Rue Claude Monet, Giverny. Take the train from Gare St Lazare to Vernon, then take the shuttle bus (Navette) to Giverny, which leaves around 10 minutes after the train’s arrival.

Galeries Lafayette Haussmann

No city break is complete without perusing the designer shops of a lavish department store. Galeries Lafayette is Paris’s answer to Harrods , with a magnificent art nouveau glass dome roof and ornate tiered balconies. It’s packed with cafes, bars and restaurants as well as designer outlets, from Burberry and Bvlgari to Dior and Chanel. In Episode 5, Emily helps Mindy and her friend Li with the PR for her skincare line, and the sample sale is held at Galeries Lafayette. We won’t spoil the twist, but it turns out there is more to the face cream than meets the eye...

La Cour Jardin Ice Rink

This intimate, private ice rink will transport you to a cosy winter hideaway in the heart of Paris’s most exclusive and fashionable district. Tucked away in the charming courtyard of the Hôtel Plaza Athénée, hotel guests and children can enjoy a twirl on the ice surrounded by fairy lights and Christmas trees. The accompanying winter chalet also offers a range of sweet treats, including fresh waffles and homemade gingerbread. Le Meurice

A stay at this hotel is pretty much the closest you can get to feeling like Marie Antoinette (short of donning a powdery wig and throwing cake at people). Everywhere you look, 18th century splendour is dripping from the ceilings and walls. Complete with a Swiss beauty boutique and spa as well as a Michelin-starred restaurant, 5-star luxury meets the Palace of Versailles . This is another hotel that features prominently in the show, particularly in Season 3 Episode 8 when Sylvie has an important tête-à-tête with Louis de Leon .
