Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - As the Buffalo Bills get set to square off against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night, members of "Bills Mafia" locally can take advantage of the nice weather by watching the game at one of two outdoor parties.

For Chris Ring at the Rec Room, Thursday's block party on Chippewa is a breath of fresh air.

"You're coming off of a crazy year in the summer months, so when football season kind of gets kicked back into full gear, we get excited," said Ring in an interview with WBEN.

This season marks the fifth year of the Chippewa block party, with two huge 15-foot LED video walls, and sound up during the games, including a DJ playing during commercial breaks.

Ring says a lot of the businesses depend on these events to boost their revenues, and it's a shot in the arm to have these opportunities during non-traditional Chippewa business days.

Tickets are going fast, at $15 online and $20 at the door . Ring does warns, though, they could be sold out before game time.

However, if you miss out this Thursday night, there will be more chances later this season.

"The next one's going to be Oct. 6 against Houston [Texans]. After that, we're going to do the [New York] Jets game on Oct. 17 and, weather pending, Oct. 27 against Seattle [Seahawks]," Ring said.

Another outdoor watch party on Thursday will take place at the Richardson Hotel complex.

For Nick Revelas, this experience is something new for him.

"We did a watch party for the eclipse, we've done some live concerts like jazz out in the front steps. We wanted to think of something with the Bills season around, with the weather being nice to kind of get the community together. What better way than watch the Bills take down the Dolphins on 'Thursday Night Football'," said Revelas with WBEN.

Revelas says this event is free with no tickets required.

"Doors are going to open at 5 p.m.. We're going to have music, food, drinks, we're going to have local vendors, and some other activities for guests to check out before the game starts," Revelas noted.

He adds there will be two large LED screens on the front lawn for people to watch all the action.

Kickoff on Thursday in Miami is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.
