Major grocery retailer Aldi has announced a significant hiring push, adding 13,000 new positions across its stores as the company ramps up for the busy holiday season. In addition to expanding its workforce, Aldi is also increasing its starting wages, a move aimed at attracting top talent and supporting its growing operations.

Starting October 1, 2024, Aldi will offer a national average starting wage of $18 per hour for store employees and $23 per hour for warehouse workers. These wage increases reflect Aldi's commitment to competitive compensation in the retail industry and are intended to support the chain’s expansion, which includes adding new locations across the country.

Since its debut in the U.S. in 1976, Aldi has rapidly expanded its footprint, now operating over 2,300 stores nationwide. The new hiring initiative coincides with National Hiring Week, offering potential employees competitive starting wages, industry-leading benefits, and long-term career opportunities.
