    Today is the day that the crew of Polaris Dawn will conduct the first spacewalk ever attempted by private citizens.

    Polaris Dawn Mission Commander Jared Isaacman and Mission Specialist Sarah Gillis will conduct the spacewalk, leaving the safety of Crew Dragon Resilience, and test SpaceX's newly designed spacesuits , specially designed to give astronauts more maneuverability.

    Coverage of the historic spacewalk has already begun, with the spacewalk expected to begin at 5:58 am ET (9:58 am UTC). The live stream from NASA Spaceflight can be viewed below.
