The first Sunday of the 2024 NFL regular season was a chaotic one for the Dolphins — both on and off the field.
Before Miami's Week 1 matchup with Jacksonville, star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was detained by police as he was approaching Hard Rock Stadium. He was cited for careless driving and a seatbelt violation, but he was ultimately released and able to suit up for the contest.
The Dolphins then struggled out of the gate and were left searching for answers after the Jaguars jumped out to a 14-0 lead. Miami got back on track behind strong performances from Hill (seven catches, 130 yards, one touchdown) and Jaylen Waddle (five catches, 109 yards), rallying for a 20-17 victory.
There won't be much time to digest what happened, though, as the Dolphins will meet the Bills on Thursday night in an AFC East battle. Can Hill and his teammates stay focused on the task at hand and move to 2-0?
