BRONX, NY (New York Yankees App) - Jazz Chisholm Jr continues to excel in pinstripes as he led the team to a 4-3 victory over the Royals with a walk off single in the 11th inning at the stadium. Chisholm Jr continues to impress as a Yankee in the field and at the plate, doing whatever the team needs to compete for wins in late September. "This is what you sign up for when you come to New York" said Gary Sheffield Jr from his Yankee podcast, "you want to have theses moments in pinstripes".

"Chisholm has been solid at the plate, but has yet to have that Yankee moment" added Sheffield Jr, "tonight he had his first Yankee moment".

Juan Soto took a foul ball off his right ankle and instantly went down in the sixth inning, but he got back up and hit a two-run home run to give the Yankees a 2-1 lead. The Royals answered back in the top of the seventh to tie the game 2-2. Both teams scored in the 10th to keep the game tied 3-3. Luis Gil got the win on the mound for the Yankees going five innings with one earned run on one hit and five strike outs.

New York took two of three in a series between playoff contenders. The Royals fell four and a half games behind the first-place Cleveland in the AL , but holds the league's second wild card by one and half games over Minnesota.

The Yankees are a game and half over Baltimore and will begin a four game series against the Red Sox starting on thursday night.
