Areas of North Mississippi affected include Alcorn, Benton MS, DeSoto, Itawamba, Marshall, Panola, Prentiss, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Tunica and Yalobusha.

iNWS cautions that low-lying and flood-prone locations are at risk due to runoff from Francine's rainfall. The areas under watch are anticipated to experience 3 to 6 inches of rainfall, with higher amounts possible.

Mississippians are encouraged to monitor the weather using trusted news sources. More information will be made available as it is released.
