Over the past year, several WWE stars, including Bobby Lashley, MVP, Dolph Ziggler, and Ricochet. These stars have left or been released by the WWE. Dolph Ziggler was among those released last year, while Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Ricochet departed after their contracts expired.

Dolph Ziggler is making waves in TNA Wrestling, while Ricochet recently joined AEW. He is engaged in a feud with AEW International Champion Will Ospreay. There is now a major update regarding Lashley and MVP.

The duo departed from WWE last month after their contracts expired, and no agreement was reached to extend their deals. Reports suggest that Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin, who was also released last year, were seeking to reunite The Hurt Business outside WWE, potentially in AEW.

Following their departure, Totally Harmless Concept LLC, which previously filed trademarks for MVP’s ring name and related terms, also registered a trademark for The Hurt Syndicate. Recent updates shed light on AEW’s interest in Lashley and MVP and the reasoning behind MVP’s trademark on The Hurt Syndicate.

AEW reportedly interested in Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin

According to Fightful Select, AEW is considering a revamped version of The Hurt Business under the name The Hurt Syndicate. The report reveals that AEW has been in talks with former The Hurt Business members Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin.

It remains unclear whether a deal with these former WWE stars is finalized. The reports also mentioned discussions to continue a faction similar to The Hurt Business outside of WWE. It will be interesting to see if AEW and the former members of The Hurt Business move forward with this idea and, if so, what name they will adopt in Tony Khan‘s promotion.
